New channel — British home-features avatar — 13 video ideas, graded by evidence

Why: the US version of this title got 107K–1.2M on 5 channels in the last 10 months, and Kristen McGowan put out another one 9 days ago (111K). The British subject has its own 141K–324K audience, but only nostalgia channels cover it, with "vanished / disappeared" wording. No one has the practical "we NEED to bring back" version with a British narrator. Contents: airing cupboard, coal-hole/boot room, picture rails, sash windows, porch, fanlight, larder.

Why: this aims at a US 55+ audience (higher RPM), with the British narrator as the authority. Penny Modern proves that "foreign features that are genius" works in the design niche (118K, 2 months). The UK-vs-US home angle has an audience of its own (46K in 10 days, 463K on a big channel). No one fills this structure with British: the only copy is The Nordic Way's European version, at 152 views. Contents: kettle and switched sockets, washing machine in the kitchen, airing cupboard, door draught excluder, separate WC, mixer vs. twin taps, heated towel rail.

Why: this is Marlene's biggest hit (116K in 2 weeks), repeated with a British twist, and "British habits for a clean home" has its own 216K–495K audience. It's the lowest-risk first upload: both halves are proven, and only the geo slot is new.

Blocked nearby slots: "Forgotten British Habits to Never Have a Messy Home/Kitchen" is a graveyard of copies (Tea Time Rewind 511, Senior Rise 195, Brit Classics 61). Do not use that wording — keep the "Organized Women" structure.

Why: this is the negative mirror of the Forgotten Kitchen Features idea: same audience, opposite emotion. Jerry Davis proved the home version a month ago, and Home Central is already rotating it (5 days). The kitchen fill is open: Home Central's "8 Modern Kitchen Features That FAILED" is 1 day old at 3.3K, so the slot hasn't been won yet. Examples: induction glass hobs, handle-less push cabinets, integrated appliances, touch taps, open shelving.

Home Central (1 day old) is on the same kitchen slot with different wording. Ship soon, or this becomes an occupied slot.

Why: this is the seasonal pick. It should go out in late September or October, when the heating goes on. Forgotten Home Engineering (7.8K subs) is the hottest practical home-features vein right now: 5 uploads with 49K–188K in the last month. Its British summer twin got 126K. The fill combines a real home feature (door curtain, fireplace draught, shutters, hot-water-bottle routine) with a British narrator.

Honest risk: "stay warm without heating" framed as money-saving flopped twice on British nan channels (Nan Margaret heating bill 3.7K; British Nostalgia radiator 2K). The wins are framed as home features / engineering or 1970s memory. Stay on features, not bills.

Why: this is the most widely proven design structure in the inspo set. Channels with 2K and 8K subs each got 220K–254K on it, so channel size isn't the barrier. The "rich homes" slot becomes "English country houses", which fits the British avatar and gives an aspirational look without a luxury budget.

The Expensive Look's follow-ups on the same structure (kitchen 4K, bathroom 3.9K, bedroom 1.8K) collapsed. The whole-home fill carries it, so don't split this into rooms early.

Why: "I haven't bought X in 40 years" is the hottest structure among older-persona channels right now (1M in 10 days at Bertha, 216K at Nan Margaret). The product slot is what rotates. Oven cleaner is still open (only Donna Marsh 59 and Eli Yoder 3K), people watch oven cleaning a lot, and it leads into pre-Christmas oven cleaning in November.

Time-critical and decaying: Nan Margaret's own later fills dropped fast (bleach 4.1K, spray 2.9K, softener 2.2K, drain 1K), and exact copies die (2–481 views). Only worth doing in the first 2–3 weeks of the channel. Never re-use a product she already did.

Why: this is your own "Forgotten Kitchen" hint, and it is the best-proven structure in the peer set: 4 channels between 13K and 133K subs each got 64K–501K on it. The plain kitchen title is heavily copied, and exact copies die (The Nordic Way got 72 views, Jully's Place 500, HomeHabit 1.2K). So the British-nan tag is what makes this a different title rather than the 11th copy. Contents: larder, plate rack, pull-out breadboard, Belfast sink, pulley clothes airer, serving hatch.

Watch out: British nostalgia framing of the kitchen slot has flopped (Dear Old Blighty "30 BIZARRE British Kitchen Features" 2.3K; Blimey Britain 387). Keep it practical — "we need back", not "remember these?".

Why: the Rutland title (243K, 2 months) is still getting fresh copies at 16K–59K, so the structure is alive. The "guests" slot is taken, but the persona slot is open: "a housekeeper" gives the avatar a professional eye and adds a slightly uncomfortable "she's judging your house" hook. Nothing with this wording exists.

Structure proof is strong; topic proof for the housekeeper persona is inferred from Marlene's persona titles (9–20K), not from a big direct hit.

Why: this is the freshest outlier in the peer set: 555K in 12 days on a 15.5K channel. Decluttering as you get older is squarely this audience's problem, and the Seniors Cleaning Hacks audience just gave 74K to a removal video.

Structure proven on one channel only; the first copy is 3 days old. High ceiling, thin proof. Put it in the slate as the wildcard.

Why: the regret structure is among the strongest in the niche (Mac Rogers 2.3M; HomeHabit got 170K with 1.2K subs). The plain kitchen slot is taken, so the audience slot rotates to "after 60". That fits the seniors-cleaning audience this recipe comes from. Examples: deep base drawers you can't bend into, eye-level ovens moved low, glass hobs, high wall units.

The after-60 framing on its own is unproven (Jerry Davis 14K/4.6K; HomeTips 318). Treat it as a mid-slate test, not a lead video.

Why: the structure pays on two channels (231K, 51K), and the British kitchen audience is proven (112K). The difference from the dead copy: Blighty Post rotated the era and died. This rotates the room, which is the slot the design channels prove.

Overlaps the Forgotten Kitchen Features idea in content. Space them 4–6 uploads apart, or use this one only if #1 performs.

Why: this is a solid back-catalogue filler. The "remove" structure is proven up to 894K. The kitchen fill works but is smaller (17K–54K), so this goes lower in the slate. The housekeeper suffix is the rotation that worked for Marlene.
